Disaster

When i came to opening my work the next day, the file our work was saved under when we tried to open it, an icon came up saying the file was damaged and this was not good, as we where so close to finishing.
So i got the teacher to come over and try to open the file, this took up nearly all of the lesson, which left me with no time to edit as our teacher was retreiving files for us and saving our work, this had happened to me a few times now so i just wanted to get this finished so that this would not keep happening.
Nearly all of the work was retreived accept for a few things so in the time i had left i quickly got those things back, this did tack a long time last time to do the things i was doing again but because i had done them once already, i knew what i was doing and i managed to get it done before the lesson ended.
So i saved the work many times again and hoped the work would be alright.

Editing After Feedback 3

My start and end was complete so i focused on my middle part of the film.
From my editing anyway, i already had some footage which i had edited and put into the middle of the film so i did not have too much to do, except the hard part was with making the clips only 5 seconds long each, this would make it harder to fill all of the gaps in the film, so i started on the middle and got alot done and the gap was reduced hughly, but i did not have enough time to finish so i saved it there and closed the computer down and i would have to finish another day.

Editing After Feedback 2

Today i carried on editing my ending of the film.
I some parts the filming was quite dark as the light began to fade in some scenes, so i spent time lighting up the scenes that where darker.
After i had finished lighting up the scenes, i put in a special effect at the end and got rid of any tiny bits of footage we did not want, such as old footage was coming up when we played the film so i had to locate these little clips and cut them off and delete them, so this made our film sharper and crisper, then the ending of our film was finished and now i had a structure so i could concentrate on the middle part of the film now as i had a target to reach in my editing, as i had to reach the end of the film with the footage i had left.
The ending of the film that i edited was a length of 40 seconds.

Editing After Feedback

I took all of the teachers comments on board and i knew by making these changes, it would make our music video better.
So i started to cut down my scenes in my film so that they where no longer then 5 seconds each which did give a great tempo to the film.
But this did make far film quite abit shorter which left a hugh gap where ther was just music.
I stared to piece together all the footage for our ending so that we had a structure to the film, so that we had a target to aim for.
I found all of the ending footage and i pieced it all together, made the cuts smaller with quite a few very quick cuts in there to give the ending greater impact, such as signs, running shots, toucher shot and so on, to give the ending the feel of the song, ADRENALINE.

Feedback from teachers

The teachers gave me there feedback on our music video that i left for them to watch.
They said that it was good but needed to be quickened up, so make the clips no longer than 3-5 seconds as the song is very quick so the film needs to keep up with the song, so this would mean i would have to shorten down my clips and this meant more editing which was going to be hard as we had to try and get the film to finish at the same time as the music and at the moment we are still short but we still had alot of footage to work with which had not been used yet.

Editing back on track 2

Today i continued to edit, the film was starting to come together well and the lengh of our film was getting closer to the lengh of the music. So i made some of the shots quicker and i varied the shots so that in the film it goes from one part of the action to the other, to keep the excitment and adrenaline of the music video.
Once i had done this i left it for my teachers to look over even though it wasnt finished, i just wanted them to give me feedback on the music video on what could be improved or changed.
So i finished off there and left them with our hardrive with the video to look over.

Editing back on track

Back in the class room i started to edit again, i captured all of our new footage and started to edit, i took all of the material that i wanted to use in our film.
Now we could start to edit properly, So i started to put all of the footage together piece by piece.

Filming Continued 2

Finally we where given the equipement that was in the best shape and that had no problems so far, we hoped.
All went well, we got the shots we needed, more inside and out the car, we got actually sign shots so it would give are film greater visual effect and we did much more.
We where happy with our progress and we finally had finished our filming this time.
So we could finish off our editing the following day.

Filming Continued

I traveled all the way to the place where we had been filming, We had tested the camera before we had left this time as well, so we knew all was good and the battery was fully charged but when we actually came to filming for real, the camera wouldnt record and this camera was actually broken but we did not know this and as we tried to fix it day light was going fast, so didsapointingly this was another frustrating day waste because of the poor equipement.

Filming Again

Today we went to where we had filmed all of our scenes before and this time we got many different camera angles and many close ups and different shots so that we could ue them in our film so that we could get our filming up to speed with the song and have enough to finish at the same time of the song, we got many shots to be safe this time so that we had alot to work with when we came to editing again, but before we could finish a problem occurs with the camera, so we had to stop filming there and continue the next day.

Editing 7

I continued to edit and finished capturing everything off the camera onto the computer system, but once i finshed a ruff edit of everything we had, we then saw that we needed more footage as the song went on for longer than our film did, so once we finished our editing up to that stage, we needed to go and film some more scenes for our film, more action shots which would increase the speed of our film and give us enough footage to use to finish off our film.

Editing 6

There was more problems when it came to opening the work up again, when we actually got the work opened once it said it was damaged, we found that again we had lost work which was becoming to be a problem as everytime we made good progress this would set us back hughly.
So again we had to redo some of the work and got it back up to where we where last time and then we had just enough time to do a bit more of our editing so we did so and the film was looking good but because of these set backs and re-doing work every lesson, this was effecting our time to finish but the film was looking good.

Editing 5

I got more of the scenes on the camera captured and put it onto the computer, which where all of the car scenes and the toucher scenes.
I cut them down in time with the film, got many quick cuts of the toucher scenes such as the hammer scene and so on edited so that i could fit them inbetween scenes, so that at the start of the film where i have edited the scene of when the phone is answered, by putting in the toucher scenes all the way through the film, this tells the audience what the conversation on the phone was about and tells them the story line.
So i spent most of the lesson editing those bits and now the film was starting to come together.

Editing 4

Again i went to open our work on the computer and it said that our file was damaged and this was happening now everytime i was opening it and because of this everytime this happened i lost work in some way and i had to retrieve it, which again took up important time and theres nuthing i or the teachers could do about it as there was a problem with the system but we had to settle with that as thatrs all we had.
So i didnt manage to get too much done this lesson as a result of all this.

Editing 3

Today i captured more shots off the camera and onto the computer, i got many shots of the inside scenes and got them all pieced together so that we had our whole start scene finished as a ruff cut, i saved all of that and closed the computer down.

Editing 2

I came back to my saved work the next day to find there was an error with our work and Adobe Premiere Pro said that i had to open a number of files to save my work, so i did so and once i finally got the work open i found that some of the work had been lost and this was a big set back to the editing as i had spent most of the lesson opening the lost work up and trying to retrieve it, so no work had been done and some of the work that was done the other day was lost so it needed to be recaptured again and this problem with adobe premiere pro happened with everyone in the class, which was effecting us to meet our deadline.

Started to edit

We brought our film back to school and started to edit, so we captured our film on to Adobe Premiere Pro and started to take the scenes that i wanted for the start of our film and in our lesson that we had i got about the first 30 seconds of the film done.
So i saved the work many times and left the work until our next lesson which would be the following day.

Filming Day 5

Another day of filming, i had to travel over to our filming destination once more, we set up and tried to finish off our filming so that we could start to edit.
We got our inside of the car scenes finahed and the rest of our car shots outside of the car and we thought we had finally finished.

Filming Day 4

Now because we had the inside filming over and done with, we had to get the outside scenes done which where our most chalenging scenes as we wanted it to look professional and of high quality, so we planned what shots we would get and different angles.
We retook these shots more than once so that we could get the best shots possible but this cost us time as the light began to fade quickly as we dont have much time anyway as we where doing all of our filming after school which meant we did not have much time to film anyway, so we had to stop or otherwise we would have different lights in different scenes which would not have been professional and would effect the quality of our film as a whole, so we stopped there and had to wait for another day in order to finish.
